Goodreads link to book one:
This was an interesting book. I hadn’t ever read the first book, so my feelings about some of the characters probably differ from those who have read the book. I could really relate to Krissa; we’ve all loved or wanted someone that was bad for us at least once in our lives. I didn’t really like Braiden very much; he reminded me too much of someone who hurt me. I really enjoyed reading about the society that Krissa lived in. I think that the society is really interesting, and would love to know more about how the whole thing came about. I’m sure if I’d read the first book I would understand more. I find myself unable to agree with some of Krissa’s choices, but I’ll be interested to see what goes down in the next book.
